Why can’t I buy individual cuts?
We do not supply meats on a cut by cut basis; this is to maintain efficient butchery and delivery of our hugely popular boxed produce. As we don’t sell through a shop, it would be very difficult to sell fresh cuts daily without having a great amount of waste, and we want to be able to keep our prices as competitive as possible.

Surely, I won’t be able to fit all that meat in my freezer?
Yes you can – with a bit of careful re-arranging! A £50 beef midi box will fit into an average freezer drawer and you can mould the meat portions into a free space before freezing. And even if you buy ½ lamb, which are mainly in joints, you can rearrange to fit into one or two drawers of an average freezer.

Would there be too much meat for just the two of us?
A large percentage of our customers are couples. All our fresh meat is packed in manageable portions, but so you can further divide into smaller servings and freeze for future use or even share with a friend or neighbour!

How do you produce your meat?
At Cwrt Henllys Farm we never inject our animals with hormones or give them un-necessary drugs. As we farm mainly outdoors, diseases and infections are few and far between so we give antibiotics only when absolutely necessary, which is viewed as acceptable practice by the Soil Association and the organic movement. We make no compromise on feeds which is of the highest quality and our grasses are fertilized with an organic compound.

MEAT BUSINESS - CLOSED

Unfortunately and sadly due to ever increasing costs and poor local sales we have decided to finish selling the meat Thanks to everyone who has been loyal to us over the past 4 years.
